It is a technology that lets a person control a computer or electronic gadget by thinking about it. Neuralink is the company that created the brain-computer interface. It can convert brain activity.

Advantages of BCI:

  • BCIs will help to create a direct communication link between the brains of humans and animals and any external devices such as computers.
  • Along with the old approach of Neuroprosthetics, BCI has enhanced the possibilities of treating disabilities related to the nervous system.
  • EEG, MEG, and neurochip technologies have emerged since the introduction of BCI.
  • BCI has opened up a new field of study for scientists and researchers.

Disadvantages of BCI:

  • There is a possibility of scar tissue formation with invasive BCI.
  • Before users may employ techniques like EEG, they must undergo considerable training.
  • The ethical issues of BCI will emerge in the future because BCI procedures are expensive. The BCI environment costs a lot of money to set up.
