Due to technological advancements, virtual and augmented reality has become a part of our daily lives.

Virtual Reality:

Virtual reality means a close resemblance to reality. It’s difficult to tell the difference between distinct worlds. In 1950, Jaron Lanier was the first to invent virtual reality; in 1990, he was the first to introduce gaming. Virtual reality produces a world that looks and feels like the real one. Virtual reality headsets provide a virtual environment that differs from reality.

Benefits

It is beneficial in the educational field. It helps students understand a variety of topics and concepts. It allows us to learn at a faster rate. It adds interest to the subject and is for training purposes. Gold Lotus is a website that helps students with their studies and teaching. Google Expeditions is a virtual reality platform allowing us to explore the world in a virtual environment.

Augmented Reality:

Augmented reality is getting closer to being a reality. It is simple to understand. It’s a mixture of the real world and the artificial environment. Smartphones allow us to interact with the world in 3 dimensions. Among the hardware devices are eyeglasses, smartphone AR, and lenses. AR also helps students learn more effectively.

Snap Chat is an augmented reality app known for using filters and effects. Narrator AR is handwriting software for kids that encourages them to study. Mondly is an exciting tool for learning new languages. Google Maps is a location-based navigation service that helps us get around. Due to augmented reality, we can attempt new things. It promotes tourism and is easily accessible to the general public.

To summarize, virtual and augmented reality is a technology that benefits humanity in several ways, including education, entertainment, medical, and military training. Technology advances over time, and these advancements change our lives.
