The Bermuda Triangle is a part of the ocean in the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea that stretches from Miami, Florida, to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then Bermuda. The Bermuda Triangle is 1.2 million miles long.

In 1492, Christopher Columbus went on an adventure that would take him to the West Indies. In the Sargasso Sea, he noticed that the ship’s compass was functioning strangely and producing false readings, and he saw a huge hall of fire shoot across the sky and crash into the sea at one point.

In 1964, Vincent Gaddis published an article in the pulp magazine Confirmation on the Bermuda Triangle’s limits, naming the vertices Miami, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda. The triangle’s limits and vertices were given by many authors, with the total area ranging from 1,300,000 to 3,900,000 km2 (500,000 to 1,510,000 sq. mi).

Many theories have been given to explain the mysterious disappearance of ships and planes. In Bermuda, over 8,000 people have vanished.

  1. Sci-Fi Theory
  2. Gulf Stream
  3. Magnetic Force Theory
  4. Gas Bubble Theory

The accident occurred due to the Bermuda triangle:

In 1945, Flight 19 lost 14 team members. On the same day, a Mariner plane with 13 airmen went missing while searching for Flight 19.

  1. The US Navy’s Cyclops flew across Bermuda in 1918. Every single one of the 306 passengers and crew members vanished without a trace.
  2. On a trip from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Miami, a Douglas DC-3 aircraft vanished. There was never any trace of the plane or the 32 passengers on it.

Regardless, a location is typically a source of great tragedy and even mystery. This mystery can act as a warning when you consider the beauty and majesty of this huge creation. Perhaps the ocean is designed to remain a mystery to man for us to be unaware of nature’s actual power over us.
