Arfa Karim was born in Pakistan on February 2, 1995. Her field of research is computer science. At the age of nine, she became a Microsoft Certified Professional. She made history by becoming the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional. She is the holder of numerous awards. Arfa Karim was a Pakistani computer prodigy recognized as the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) at the age of nine and later became the youngest recipient of the President’s Award for Pride of Performance in Pakistan at the age of ten.

Arfa Karim passed the exam of Microsoft in 2004 at the age of nine. Bill Gates was astounded and decided to meet Arfa. She achieved a Guinness World Record by qualifying for the tough Microsoft test. She amazed Bill Gates.

Her father served in the military. Her mother was a housewife. At the age of five, she composed her first poem. She is an expert in the field of computers. When her father observed her enthusiasm for computers, he brought a personal computer for her. She also did training in IT or courses related to computers. That institution suggested her father enroll her in the Microsoft Certification Test. She did a lot of hard work to prepare for the test and shocked everyone by passing the test. She was the first Pakistani to attend the Barcelona Developer Conference in 2006.

Several people questioned her in the interview. She also received an award from the Prime minister of Pakistan. Arfa’s achievements and talents brought her international recognition, and she was invited to speak at several conferences and events around the world. She also appeared on several TV shows and in newspapers. She was considered one of the shining examples of young talents in Pakistan, and her story was an inspiration for many young students.

Sadly, on 14 January 2012, at the age of 16, Arfa passed away due to cardiac arrest. Her death was a great loss for Pakistan and the world of technology. In her memory, the Pakistan government established the Arfa Karim Technology Park in Lahore, which is a state-of-the-art facility for the promotion of IT education and research in Pakistan.
