Marine Pollution and How to Reduce It

Water is an essential component of our lives and the environment. Oceans cover 71% of the earth’s surface area. Each day, the human body must consume 3 liters of water. They play a critical role in balancing human life on the planet.

Marine Pollution:

It’s also referred to as ocean pollution and water pollution. It occurs when poisons are dumped into the water, either directly or indirectly. The land is responsible for 80% of marine pollution. It made changes to the physical and biological state of the water.

Cause of marine pollution:

  1. Sewage
  2. Toxic chemicals of industries
  3. Large Scale Oil Spills
  4. Solid waste
  5. Discharge of radioactive elements

Effects of marine pollution:

  1. Putting at risk human health.
  2. Environmental impact on wildlife habitat.
  3. Aquatic organisms are vanishing.
  4. Drinking water shortages.
  5. It is the source of sickness.

Marine pollution reduces:

  1. Raising awareness about the dangers of marine pollution.
  2. Garbage should be disposed of properly.
  3. Create effective use of water.
  4. Make use of eco-friendly products.
  5. Pesticides should not be used near water.
  6. Participate in the water purification process.

Without water, there is no life. We must conserve water. The water should be kept clean. It will not be difficult to obtain drinking water if everyone fulfills their responsibilities to protect water from contamination. For us, safe drinking water is a must. We can make water contamination less of an issue — and the world a better place.
